Exert.
Plan your training. See your progress.
I’m building Exert to bring training plans, workout logging and progress into one place. It combines my interest in fitness with the challenge of building a complete product across mobile, web and the backend.

Plan
Find a program and see how the training is structured.

Log
Record sets, reps and weight during a session.

Review
Look back over your training calendar and completed sessions.
Screens from the development build, with illustrative training data.
From plan to progress
Discover a community program or build your own, then customise exercises, sets and reps. The mobile app puts your next session and workout log close at hand; the web app provides space to browse and plan.
Training history, muscle coverage and strength trends help make sense of the work over time. Programs can also be shared through a public profile.
Keeping the workout safe
A dropped connection shouldn’t mean losing a session. Workout drafts persist on the device, while completed sessions are stored locally in SQLite and queued for sync. Recovery and retry handling are a core part of the mobile implementation.
Built across the stack
A TypeScript monorepo connects React Native and Expo on mobile, Next.js on the web, and a Fastify API backed by PostgreSQL. Shared types, validation and tRPC keep the clients and server aligned as the product evolves.
